This 16th century formula was developed by the Ming dynasty physician Chen Zhiming. Xiang Fan Huo Ming Yin is used to treat the initial stage of carbuncles and sores that are caused by the accumulation of heat and toxins as well as qi and blood stasis. This formula stimulates the blood, purges heat and toxins, unblocks hardness, and alleviates swelling and pain.
