This formula was first published in “Discussion of Cold Damage” by the renowned Han dynasty physician Zhang Zhongjing. Gui Zhi Jia Ge Gen Tang disperses wind-cold, releases the exterior, and relaxes the muscles in order to alleviate taiyang disorder with stiffness and aching in the neck and upper back.
