This 16th century formula was developed by the Ming dynasty physician Li Ting. Shi Liu Wei Liu Qi Yin is used to treat stagnancy of the blood and qi that causes tumors, sores, and carbuncles, and it works by tonifying and regulating the qi and blod and alleviating swelling and pain.
